A man has been charged with assault and weapons offences after allegedly pulling a knife and threatening a driver on an OC Transpo bus.
Ottawa police says the incident happened about 2:20 p.m. Wednesday when the bus was stopped at the Hurdman station. A man on the bus was threatening the driver and had pulled out a knife, although he didn’t stab anyone.
Transpo’s special constables grabbed the man, and Ottawa police took him away to be charged. No one was hurt.
Shamarke Abdi-Djama, 19, of Ottawa faces three counts of assault and one of possession of a weapon.
