Ottawa police believe there could be other victims after a 41-year-old North Bay man was charged with sexually assaulting, drugging and videotaping two women.

An investigation into the sexual assaults began in September after two incidents in an apartment near Bronson Avenue and Nepean Street over the past three years were reported to police.

As a result of the investigation, Michael Andreyechen, 41, of North Bay was charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of administering a noxious substance, and two counts of secretly recording a person for sexual purpose.

Andreyechen is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

The charges come seven months after he was charged with three counts of possessing child pornography.

Ottawa police received information from the RCMP’s National Child Exploitation Co-ordination Centre in March about a suspect in Ottawa.

Police alleged a man uploaded child pornography on two occasions.

In May, police executed a searched warrant at an apartment on Bronson Avenue and seized several computers, external hard drives and a pinhole camera.

Anyone with information can call the Ottawa police sexual assault and child abuse unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5944.
