An argument at the Bistro Manchester in Chelsea led to a high-speed accident on Route 105 in Chelsea early Saturday, MRC des Collines police said.
Police said that, at about 3 a.m., a group of individuals attempted to physically attack two young men in the bistro. The men, police said, fled the scene in a Subaru Impreza, but were followed by a van and hit repeatedly from behind. The Subaru was destroyed when it left the highway and crashed but the occupants were not seriously injured.
The van did not stop when the accident occurred, police said.
The van is described as an early 2000s Dodge Dakota with front-end damage while the suspects were described as white, between the ages of 20 and 25.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 819-459-2422.
The investigation continues, and charges of hit and run and assault are possible, police said.
