Firefighters and paramedics teamed up early Wednesday to free and treat a man trapped for almost 45 minutes in a smashed vehicle following a one-car crash near Greely, south of Ottawa.
The crash occurred at about 2:20 a.m. on River Road near Hawthorne when the veiuhicle left the road on a corner and rolled “a number of times ending up on the driver’s side against a hydro pole.”
Paramedics said in a release Wednesday that the male driver, 35, was listed in stable condition with unspecified arm and leg injuries.
Police are investigating the crash.
