Summary
Hazardous winter conditions are expected. 20 to 35 cm of snow likely beginning tonight. A Texas low is tracking towards the Great Lakes area today and will move across the lakes on Tuesday. Ahead of this system, strengthening easterly winds and then ultimately snow and blowing snow will begin tonight and continue into Tuesday and then finally taper off Tuesday afternoon. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays.
