A Prescott woman has been charged with fraud over $5,000 and forgery after the OPP was called in to investigate money missing from a non-profit organization.

The Grenville County Crime Unit’s two-month investigation led to allegations that more than $50,000 had been transferred from the Leeds and Grenville Insurance Brokers’ bank accounts into a private account between May 2012 and December 2015.

Robin Van Luit, a 46-year-old former treasurer of the organization, was charged Friday.
