A government building in Hull was evacuated Thursday morning after an employee discovered a suspicious package.
Less than three hours after police were called to the Shared Services Canada building at 105 Hotel de Ville St. around at 9:15 a.m., the envelope was deemed safe.
The basement, first and second floors were evacuated while employees on all other floors were told to stay in their offices.
The Ottawa Fire Services hazmat team was also called to the scene to investigate.
