Firefighters respond to call about fire at Alice Street apartment building

Ottawa firefighters responded late Saturday night to a 911 call about smoke and flames visible in a basement unit of a six-unit apartment building at 101 Alice St.

Ottawa Fire Services received the call about the blaze at 11:02 and quickly brought the fire under control.

No injuries had been reported, but one patient was being assessed for smoke inhalation.
