A provincial police officer from eastern Ontario has been charged with sexual assault in an incident investigators say took place while he was off duty.
Police say the officer is 48 years old and has been working for the force for 27 years.
Police released no details about the incident and say they will not identify the officer out of concern for the alleged victim’s privacy.
