An unidentified man is in custody after a situation one resident described as a ‘ standoff’ in Bells Corners Saturday night.
Police were not releasing many details Sunday morning, but said a road rage incident in which a firearm was seen led them to an address in the 700-block of Sanibel Private, a small street off Old Richmond Road near the Royal Canadian Legion and the Jami Omar Mosque
Police said officers attended the scene, and obtained a search warrant for an address on the street, where they recovered a number of weapons in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The Guns and Gangs unit of the Ottawa Police Service is investigating.
