Ottawa police have closed the westbound lanes of Ogilvie Road between Cyrville Road and Cummings Avenue Tuesday after a cyclist in his 50s was struck by a vehicle.
Few details are available, however police said a call came in at around 9:50 reporting the collision.
Emergency responders arrived to find the man unconscious and in serious condition. He was transported to hospital.
Police warned motorists to avoid the area for the time being while the collision scene is investigated.
