Gatineau police arrested five suspects and seized a variety of drugs and weapons after searching an apartment on Conservatoire Street in Aylmer.
Police seized 46 grams of crack, 45 grams of cocaine, 220 grams of marijuana, some tablets that haven’t been identified, an air pistol, a club, six cellphones, seven knives, a hydraulic press, three vehicles and $38,000 in cash.
They have arrested three men and two women in their twenties and thirties, who are to appear in court at a later date on trafficking charges. In Quebec, the accused aren’t identified until they have been arraigned in court.
Police say they are expecting to make more arrests.
