A boil water advisory remains in effect in “Old Gatineau” district although a broken watermain that caused major difficulties over the past 48 hours has been repaired.
The city advised Saturday morning that full water service has been restored to the large area east of the Gatineau River.
Service volumes and pressure are expected to slowly return to normal.
In the meantime, residents are advised to boil water intended for consumption and let cold water taps run for a few minutes to clear the lines of air and impurities.
Saint-Louis Street has reopened to traffic from Jacques-Cartier Street to Maloney Ouest Boulevard.
