Gatineau police say the latest teenager to allegedly make Internet threats with a photo of a “scary clown” is looking at a list of potentially serious charges.
Someone sent out Facebook threats involving a Gatineau high school on Friday, although police won’t say what kind of threats were made or name the school. But a search for the source led them to a smartphone in Ottawa, and to its owner, a 14-year-old boy.
Police have seized the phone but have not yet interviewed the teen. However, they say the list of possible charges could include criminal harassment, uttering threats and spreading false information with intent to alarm.
