Police seeking this wanted man after September home robbery

Ottawa police have laid charges and have issued an arrest warrant after a break-in along Booth Street on Sept. 19.

According to police, a man broke into a downtown residence and stole a number of items including vehicle keys belonging to the residence’s owner. The vehicle was then taken, but has since been recovered.

After a lengthy investigation into the incident, police asked on Wednesday for the public’s assistance to locate Corey Trepanier, 27 of Ottawa. He is charged with break and enter, theft of a motor vehicle and damage to personal property.

Police describe Trepanier as a Caucasian male, who is 5’8″ (173 cm) in height and weighing around 150 lbs (68 kg). He has light brown or blond hair. According to police his current whereabouts are unknown.

Anyone with information relating to Trepanier’s location is asked to contact the Ottawa police at 613-236-1222, ext. 4533. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
