Ottawa – Mayor Jim Watson will host the Mayor’s 16th Annual Christmas Celebration on Saturday, December 3 at Ottawa City Hall in support of the Ottawa Food Bank.

Date: Saturday, December 3

Time: 2 to 6 p.m.

Location: Ottawa City Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West

Admission: a non-perishable food donation to the Ottawa Food Bank

Families are invited to join the fun at this eagerly anticipated event, celebrating Christmas in a wonderful winter setting. Fun-filled outdoor activities will include ice skating on the Sens Rink of Dreams, horse-drawn wagon rides on Marion Dewar Plaza with plenty of hot chocolate, BeaverTails, roasting marshmallows and maple taffy.

Indoors, City Hall will be transformed into a wonderland. Children will be excited to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and make a craft in Santa’s Workshop. Live performances will be part of the fun as families enjoy chocolate treats from Lindt and fresh fruit from Farm Boy.

The Mayor’s Annual Christmas Celebration is made possible by the generosity of the many corporate sponsors. In the spirit of giving and to help those in need, admission to this sponsored event is a non-perishable food donation to the Ottawa Food Bank.

OC Transpo will offer free bus rides on all routes to and from City Hall from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. to children 11 years and under when accompanied by a fare-paying adult.
