Ottawa paramedics were called to a building on Carling Avenue after a worker was electrocuted while trying to carry out a wiring job.
According to paramedics, the man, who is in his 30s, was on a ladder attempting to perform some electrical work at around 9:30 a.m. when he reached for a live wire.
The wire shocked him causing to let go of the ladder and fall to the ground.
The man received serious burns to his hands as a result of the shock. He also received minor cuts and bruises from the fall.
He was transported to an Ottawa hospital in stable condition so that doctors could monitor his heart to ensure the electrical surge didn’t cause any serious damage.
