A 32-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment of serious burns following a kitchen fire in a residence on Brookline Avenue in the city’s Ridgemont area.
First responders answered a call for a fire at about 10:30 a.m. and the woman with second-degree burns to her arms and first-degree burns to her abdomen, reportedly suffered in a kitchen accident.
Paramedics treated the woman on scene and transported her to hospital for further care.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
