After Thursday night’s technicolour skies, Ottawa awoke to grey dawn but don’t despair, the sun will come out tomorrow.

Too bad the rest of the Victoria Day weekend, and most of next week, doesn’t look so bright.

Friday’s Environment Canada forecast is for mainly cloudy skies, a 40-per-cent chance of early morning showers and a high of 17 C.

Saturday is forecast to be sunny with a high of 18 C.

Thursday night’s whirlwind thunderstorm was dramatic and left local photographers with a bounty of photo opps.
