OC Transpo is investigating after one of its buses slammed into an overhang near an entrance to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario on Friday.
According to OC Transpo, the bus collided with the overpass around 2 p.m. There were no injuries in the crash.
According to spokespeople from CHEO, there was no structural damage to the building. However, tow trucks needed to be called to dislodge the vehicle from the overhang.
Neither CHEO or OC Transpo would comment on how the bus driver became lodged in the entryway. Witnesses to the collision said the driver was dealing with a new route and may have taken a wrong turn.
