Ottawa police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Max Hody, 23, of Ottawa, in connection with a 2014 mugging outside a Robertson Road fast food restaurant.
In the mugging, a man, who was with a number of friends, was approached by a suspect who demanded he hand over his cellphone.
When the victim refused, he was stabbed twice, once in the abdomen and once in a leg. He was treated and released.
In a release Tuesday, police said they have obtained new evidence which has lead to a warrant against Hody on charges of robbery, assault causing bodily harm and possession of a weapon.
Hody is described as Caucasian, about five feet eight inches (173 cm) and 160 pounds (73 kg) with a thin build. He has hazel eyes and light brown hair.
