You can’t say you weren’t warned: It will be loud on Parliament Hill over the next three nights as the popular Fortissimo 2017 military musical spectacular takes the stage for the 21st time.
The two-hour free performance starts at 7 p.m. and includes hundreds of performers, from the Ceremonial Guard to performances by the Dominion Carillon, the Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces, the Massed Pipes and Drums of the Canadian Armed Forces, the Band of America’s Few, the Royal Canadian Air Force Band, Ceremonial Troop of the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry, 30th Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery, and the Elite Drill Team and Fife and Drums of the German Wachbataillon.
Fortissimo will include varied and loud cannon and rifle fire during each performance.
As well, the Royal Canadian Air Force sent a heads up via Twitter about a flyby from a noisy CH-146 Griffon chopper during the show.
