Fire call over strange odour on Percy Street leads to 'possible meth lab'

The Ottawa Fire Service’s hazardous materials team says a 911 call Tuesday night “for what appeared to be a strange odour” led to what is believed to be a methamphetamine lab.

Firefighters were called to 126 1/2 Percy St. around 9:07 p.m.

After discussions with police, firefighters said, the call appeared to have uncovered “a possible meth lab.”

Police were investigating and further information was not immediately available.
