Erik Karlsson is officially off the free agent market.
After a nine-month engagement, the Ottawa Senators’ captain married Ottawa’s Melinda Currey downtown in the nation’s capital late Saturday afternoon.
The couple were seen leaving the The Westin in separate limos at about 4:45 p.m. under heavy rain showers. From there, it was on to the National Gallery of Canada.
Former Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson and Karlsson’s brother, Pelle, were part of the wedding party.
Among the friends and family in attendance were Senators Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Clarke MacArthur.
