A 16-year-old girl suffered serious leg injuries Friday morning when she was struck by a pickup truck near the intersection of Alta Vista Drive and Heron Road.
Paramedics responded at 8:48 a.m. to the call near St. Patrick’s High School, but an off-duty medic on the way to work had already stopped to help the teen.
She was in serious but stable condition in hospital.
