Firefighters had to use cutters and spreaders to free a taxi driver from a heavily-damaged van after a crash on Bank Street early Friday morning.
Despite the damage, injuries were minor, paramedics said.
Fire crews were called by city police at 6:32 a.m. to the crash on northbound Bank Street near Riverdale Avenue.
The driver was unable to get out of the van so firefighters used tools to remove a post on the driver’s side to safely extricate the driver.
