One man is dead after a motorcycle collided head-on with a car near Morrisburg on Friday afternoon.
The OPP said Friday evening that detours remained in place near the scene of the crash, near the intersection of County Road 2 and County Road 31 in South Dundas.
According to investigators, a vehicle driven by a woman was heading eastbound on County Road 2 when it crossed the median and collided with a westbound motorcycle in the westbound lane at 2:28 p.m.
The adult male riding the motorcycle was pronounced dead in hospital. The female driver, the lone occupant in the car, was treated in hospital for minor injuries.
No names had been released.
There was no immediate word on whether criminal charges were pending. The collision remains under investigation by Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry OPP, with assistance from OPP traffic collision investigators.
