Ottawa Fire Services were called to a single family home at 2570 Egan Road near Riverside Drive and Brookfield Road on Sunday morning.
They declared a working fire at 8:24; the blaze was out by 9:15 a.m.
The occupants were not home at the time, and there were no injuries.
Damages are estimated at $250,000 for the building and $100,000 for contents.
A fire investigator was called to the scene and the cause is still under investigation.
