A 28-year-old man is facing an aggravated assault charge after a 71-year-old man suffered “serious” injuries after a confrontation over tow services at a crash scene, police said.
It happened at about 10 p.m. on March 8 near Riverside and Revelstoke drives.
The suspect was near the collision scene and trying to get one of the motorists involved to accept his tow services when the older man approached, police said. There was a verbal confrontation and then a physical one when the suspect assaulted the victim, they said.
Omar Abouammo was released on a promise to appear in court.
