Ottawa police arrested a 23-year-old Orléans man Friday after receiving a tip about child pornography uploaded to the internet.
Police said the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre last August forwarded a tip to the Ottawa police internet child exploitation unit about an internet address involved in uploading images and video of child pornography. The internet service provider received a production order and revealed the address of the alleged criminal activities.
Police executed a search warrant at a home in the Avalon community Friday.
Kyle Joy was charged with possession of child pornography, making child pornography available and making written child pornography. He was scheduled to appear in court Saturday.
