A construction worker suffered “significant lacerations” to his leg Monday after he fell six feet from a construction site and caught his leg on a piece of steel reinforcement bar.
Ottawa paramedics said the incident occurred near Earl Armstrong and Spratt roads near Riverside South at 12:44 p.m.
Spokesman Marc Deschamps said the worker’s colleagues were quick to control the bleeding with a first-aid kit, and had to guide the ambulance through a new construction development to attend to the victim.
Deschamps said the man is now in hospital in stable condition.
