An Ottawa man has been arrested after allegedly making threats at his former workplace, then fleeing the scene and ramming a police car.
Police were called on Sunday afternoon after a man entered a building on the 500 block of West Hunt Club Road in Nepean and allegedly made threats to his former colleagues before fleeing in his vehicle.
An officer later found the vehicle at the dead end of Bentley Avenue and made a traffic stop.
As the officer entered information about the stop while in his cruiser, the man allegedly rammed the police car with his own vehicle. The officer inside sustained minor injuries.
Other officers arrived on scene and arrested him “without incident,” police said.
Fadi Alnouilati, 36, was scheduled to appear in court Monday. He faces seven charges including two counts of uttering threats, dangerous driving causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.
