Four people were injured, two critically, in a multi-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Roger Stevens Drive and McCordick Road.
The high-speed collision occurred at around 3:15 p.m. and involved three vehicles.
Ottawa paramedics said a 85-year-old man and an 82-year-old woman suffered multi-systems trauma and were in critical condition Sunday afternoon.
A woman, aged 45, with a neck injury was in serious condition, and a 20-year-old man was in stable condition with a back injury, paramedics said.
An air ambulance took one patient to hospital, and another was taken by ambulance to the Ottawa Trauma Centre. The two other patients were treated at other local hospitals.
The intersection, about two kilometres southwest of North Gower, is controlled by a stop sign on McCordick Road.
Police closed Roger Stevens Drive between Malakoff Road and Fourth Line Road while investigators examined the crash scene.
