A construction worker in his 40s is in serious, but stable condition after he was struck by a heavy metal plate on a site Wednesday afternoon.
Paramedics said the incident occurred on a site near Moodie Drive and Carling Avenue at around 12:50 p.m.
The plate struck the man in his chest causing serious injuries, but did not penetrate his body.
He was taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition.
