A Toronto-area trucker has been charged with dangerous driving causing death in connection with a fatal multi-vehicle crash on Highway 401 near Kingston last August.
Four passenger vehicles and two tractor-trailers were involved in the mid-afternoon collision on the busy highway in South Glengarry Township.
AN OPP investigation has concluded that a westbound tractor-trailer collided with an westbound passenger vehicle, which then crashed into with several other vehicles.
Kimberly Oosting, 32, of Rivière Beaudette, Que., was pronounced deceased at the scene. Five other people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Sarbjot Pander, 21, of Mississauga, was charged Wednesday with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death
He was released and is to appear in Alexandria court July 4.
