Ottawa police say that there may be more victims of a chiropractor who was charged with sexual assault charges on Tuesday.
Dr. William McLeod, a 69-year-old chiropractor, allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in her 50s in early April while she was a patient of his south-end Ottawa clinic.
Police allege McLeod offered the woman a “free massage” and subsequently assaulted her in a private area of the clinic.
The woman reported the incident to police three days later on April 9.
Police say they are concerned that this might not be an isolated incident.
“Investigators are concerned there could be more victims and are encouraging them to come forward,” police said in a statement.
McLeod had no previous disciplinary record, according to the College of Chiropractors of Ontario website.
He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
