Downtown Ottawa shooting leaves 1 dead, 3 in hospital
Suspect has not been arrested, but scene considered secure

4 shot in downtown Ottawa
One person was killed and three people were taken to hospital with serious injuries, including a 15-year-old boy, in a shooting in a home Wednesday morning on Ottawa's Gilmour Street.
Police have not arrested the suspect, but they say the area is considered secure.
Paramedics said they were called to the area of Gilmour and Kent streets, about a kilometre south of Parliament Hill, at about 7:30 a.m. ET.

Police said the three people taken to hospital had serious injuries. The teenager was taken to CHEO and is in stable condition, according to a spokesperson for the children's hospital.
The other victims' ages and genders were not immediately available.
"This is not considered an active shooter situation, but the suspect remains at large and is not in custody," police said in a release.
Insp. Francois D'Aoust said they don't have a description of the suspect and officers are going door-to-door in the area to gather more information.

Gilmour Street and neighbouring James Street were closed this morning between Kent and Lyon streets.
Police have been asking people to avoid the area. Its major crime unit is investigating.
