Mayor Jim Watson, Councillor Jenna Sudds, Chair of the City’s Emergency and Protective Services Committee, and Alta Vista Ward Councillor Jean Cloutier will hold a media availability prior to the opening of the Jim Durrell Arena on Saturday as a temporary physical distancing centre for single men.
Date: Wednesday, April 29
Time: 10:15 am
Place: Jim Durrell Arena at 1265 Walkley Road (media availability will be held just outside the main entrance in order to ensure physical distancing)
After the media availability, each media outlet will have access to the facility for up to five minutes for b-roll only. Only members of the media who have pre-registered with the City’s Media Relations by tomorrow at 9 am will gain access. You can register by emailing medias@ottawa.ca.
