The following projects will impact Ottawa traffic:

Bank Street – Bank Street is closed to traffic between Catherine and Queen streets every Saturday from 9 am to midnight until Saturday, August 8. This is a pilot project to provide more space for pedestrians.

ByWard Market – Several streets in the ByWard Market are closed to traffic until the end of September to provide more space for pedestrians and patios.

  • William Street is closed from George to York streets.
  • ByWard Market Square is closed from York to Clarence streets.
  • Clarence Street is closed from William to Dalhousie streets.
  • The northern side of York Street is closed from ByWard Market Square to Sussex Drive.

ByWard Market Square has been converted to southbound traffic between York and George streets to offset the York Street closure.

Somerset Street – Somerset Street West is closed to traffic between Bank and O’Connor streets on Fridays from 5 pm to 11 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 11 pm until Sunday, September 8. These closures provide more space for pedestrians and patios.
