Capital Pride 2020 will take place from Sunday, August 23 through Sunday, August 30. But the festival will look a little different this year. It’s going virtual.
The City will still be showing its Pride and support for Ottawa’s 2SLGBTQ+ community with several departments participating in the virtual Pride parade on Sunday, August 30. You can watch the parade on the Capital Pride site. The City will also be raising the Pride flag at several locations during the week, including:
To celebrate Pride this year, Ottawa Paramedic Services will showcase a new rainbow crosswalk they recently added outside their headquarters on Don Reid Drive. They will also be wearing rainbow masks throughout the week. Meanwhile OC Transpo will host its own virtual Pride events for its employees.
