OC Transpo will move local bus service at Lincoln Fields Station to a temporary platform starting Sunday, December 6 to allow construction of the new Stage 2 O-Train station. The work will not impact the existing Transitway platform.

The temporary bus platform is located east of the existing Transitway platform. All routes currently serving the local bus platform will continue to serve Lincoln Fields at the temporary platform. Station facilities, including shelters, benches, maps and bike racks, will all remain available.

Updated signs will guide customers to boarding locations. OC Transpo staff will be on site to assist customers before and after the change. Customers can also find out where to catch their bus by visiting octranspo.com or calling 613-741-4390.

Due to construction, pedestrians and cyclists entering the station from Carling Avenue will need to use the station overpass because the eastern pedestrian access at the traffic signals will be closed. The passenger pick-up and drop-off zone will be closed during construction and only OC Transpo buses will be able to enter the station. Alternative passenger pick-up and drop-off spots are available at Tunney’s Pasture, Baseline and Bayshore stations for customers connecting to transit by vehicle or taxi.

For everyone’s safety, customers and pedestrians in the area are reminded to obey traffic signals, use designated crosswalks and be aware of increased construction traffic.

For automated, real-time bus arrival information, customers can call 613-560-1000 or text 560560 plus their four-digit bus stop number (3014 for Lincoln Fields). For more information and travel planning, visit octranspo.com or call 613-741-4390. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Customer Service Centre at Lincoln Fields remains closed.

Stage 2 includes the extension of O-Train Line 1 west to Baseline and Moodie and east to Trim, as well as the expansion of O-Train Line 2. For up-to-date information on Stage 2 construction, visit Ottawa.ca/Stage 2.
