Allan wants to build lots of 40 story condo towers, and affordable housing, along the new Light Rail Transit (LRT) system. Where is it written that affordable housing has to be located next to a light rail system? What did affordable housing residents do for the past 60 years... before light rail? I guess Allan's plan is to overcrowd the new LRT system within 3 to 5 years after it opens; just like the OC Transpo buses are currently overcrowded. You often have to let 2 or 3 buses pass by... before you can get on; and even then it is standing room only. Why build LRT, if we are going to overcrowd it as soon as it starts operating? For years the mayor, and Allan, said the $2.4 billion LRT costs would be paid for by long-term financing (just like a mortgage): no mention... until a few months ago, of building LRT condo towers。

2036年LRT建成后，2040年市政府想在高尔夫球场建住宅缓解城市住宅压力，1500套TH也不太可能建，最可能就是换成2栋40层LRT condo tower，容纳1500户。因为LRT condo tower占地面积小，能够保证大部分绿地不被破坏，也就是保证法官所说的40%绿地比例。这次建筑商败诉，主要原因就是无法满足40%绿地比例（The agreement preserved 40 per cent of land in the Kanata Lakes area as natural space）。

On Tuesday, Ottawa's planning committee approved the request from Kingsett Capital and Ivanhoé Cambridge to allow towers of 27 and 30 storeys on land beside the mall.

The 10 councillors present at committee voted unanimously for the project, in keeping with council's consistent support for dense development along transit routes. （与会的10位议员投票一直通过建LRT condo tower的决议。）

坎北800套就算盖也跟LRT不沾边呀，示范给谁看呀。。

还是让Hubley 沿LRT别处看看 city有储地吗:)

我以为 卡北800套 在卡北shopping mall附近，离未来的LRT很近

即使这样，也得等2036年LRT即将建成，卡北800套才会破土动工，否则的话，那里附近的马路得拓宽，避免上下班交通过分拥挤。

2036呀，那我要么住Rockland village，要么和热老师一起温哥华素里了：)

Allan Hubley这人没啥原则，太能勾兑。。我住坎南从不选他，急的大晚上敲我家门:(
