Highway 417 will be closed in both directions between Woodroffe Avenue and Greenbank Road from Friday, July 28 at 11 pm until Monday, July 31 at 5 am.
Highway 417 and select ramps will be closed in both directions between Woodroffe Avenue and Greenbank Road from Friday, July 28 at 11 pm until Monday, July 31 at 5 am.
The following ramps will also be closed:
Motorists will need to follow the signed detour routes:
Westbound detour
Or
Eastbound detour
The closure is required as part of the Stage 2 West extension to install a pedestrian bridge that will enhance neighbourhood connectivity and provide direct access to the future Queensview Station from Baxter Road.
OC Transpo – a great option to travel on busy weekends
Transit is a great option, especially on busy weekends. Take advantage of the 2-for-1 DayPass, where two can travel for the price of one on weekends. Use OC Transpo’s Travel Planner to plan ahead and check the Alerts page for the latest information on detours.
O-Train Line 1 has frequent east-west service with connections to bus services for those heading to the west, east and south ends. Use a Presto card to pay for your fare or select from one of many fare options to purchase a ticket. All rides include a 90-minute minimum transfer window from your first tap or the time you purchase your ticket.
With over 9,000 free Park & Ride spots across the city, you can park your vehicle and take transit to your destination.

- The westbound on-ramp from Maitland Avenue

- The westbound off-ramp to Pinecrest Road

- Turn left on Carling Avenue
- Turn left at Richmond Road
