- 诸如星链大小的卫星，在几乎没有剩余升轨燃料或失控的情况下，无法规划落点的情况。事实上也已经有一些星链坠落到农场、荒野的报道。
- 助推或者芯一级没有出大气层，或者进入临近空间后很快再入大气层的情况。后者如果在椭圆轨道再入、有翻滚则难以预测落点，比较麻烦。
- 数量庞大的空间碎片，对于 空间站等载人航天飞行器 和 高价值卫星 的威胁。尺寸不一定大，危害无法忽视。
