文章说，欧美一直宣传中国一带一路是债务陷阱，是为了对抗欧美影响力。虽然一带一路确实带来了斯里兰卡等国家债务危机，但是也给大部分国家带来了大量急需的投资和发展机会，从最近红海危机，巴拿马运河干旱，南中国海紧张和俄乌战争等等，说明中国一带一路更多是供应链运输多元化防守策略而不是进攻。红海危机证明了中国有远见领先了一大步。
欧美等国家意识到不能继续忽视亚非国家，也开始搞了很多对抗一带一路的相关项目，以免出现世界所有的路都通中国（the more the world collectively invests in critical infrastructure, the less likely it becomes that all roads lead to China.）
