Looking to revamp your summer playlist? Check out the 2024 Music on Hold playlist for some music inspiration today. Every time you call the City you will get to hear a wide variety of songs from 25 distinctive local musicians while waiting on hold.

Every year, the City accepts applications from local artists looking to have their work featured on the Music on Hold program. With over 155 submissions this year, a committee of musicians and industry professionals from the Ottawa area selected 25 songs to be showcased on this year’s playlist.

Since the Music on Hold program began in 2015, the City of Ottawa has received 1000 submissions and showcased 254 tracks from local artists. The City wants to shine a spotlight on the music being made in our region and show Ottawa musicians our appreciation. Applications for the program open early in the year.
