HELP:如何申请Security Clearance

最近有两个工作机会，但都是问我是否有SECURITY CLEARANCE。我说我明年才能拿到公民，他们说这应该与是否是公民无关。我想知道我到哪里可以去做SECURITY CLEARANCE。谢谢。

据我所知，首先是要有公民身份，然后在加住满5年，然后可以申请，然后还不一定能拿到Security Clearance.
你要在Toronto,也许就没这么麻烦。

如何申请？这么说来俺可能也得办一个。

可以到ELGEN警察局去办理。地点在ELGEN与QUEENSWAY的交界处，坐5路车，在地图上标有五角星的就是。

如何申请？这么说来俺可能也得办一个。

Go to RCMP in St Laurant. They will let you take fingerprint. Then you can submit your application. It takes 5 months now. I submitted my application in June and got my security clearance last month.

这个security clearance 自己就能办吗？ 我看原来的帖子说必须要通过中介才能办，而且没有找到工作机会，中介也懒得给你办。你是自己办的？

yes. total 46 $.

He probably meant RCMP headquarter on Vanier parkway or Convery Rd.

Apply National Defence, they do it for you for free, and much faster, about 2 weeks. but you are joining them.

But in another hand, they pay good dollars, so, why not try to find a job there?
