Go to RCMP in St Laurant. They will let you take fingerprint. Then you can submit your application. It takes 5 months now. I submitted my application in June and got my security clearance last month.

你申请的是哪一级？RCMP是在Vanier Parkway 和 Coventry Road 交叉路口附近吗？

Yes. It is in the headoffice of RCMP. You can ask them and they will tell you the detail.

new immigrant? sorry, there is no way you can clear that up. at least five yrs in Canada or 7 in EC countries or the States.

Apply National Defence, they do it for you for free, and much faster, about 2 weeks. but you are joining them.

But in another hand, they pay good dollars, so, why not try to find a job there?

I brought a copy of my Contract to show them and told them that stupid American requested a security clearance report for work visa application. Then they told me what I should do.

去警察局办的是无犯罪记录，和找工作要求的Security Clearance是两回事。Security Clearance没在这里呆五年没戏。

前面这位说得对。去ＯＴＴＡＷＡ警察局和ＲＣＭＰ办的都是无犯罪记录证明，同ＳＥＣＵＲＩＴＹ　ＣＬＥＡＲＡＮＣＥ不是一回事。用人的公司曾经给我办过（ＥＮＨＡＮＣＥＤ　ＲＥＬＩＡＢＩＬＩＴＹ　ＬＥＶＥＬ），好象是通过联邦政府的什么机构办理的，有效期为１０年。
如果在这里生活不到５年不予受理。

That is not true. I got mine even I had been here for about 3 years.
