The latest release that I know is 2/02, i.e. Feb.02 If a beta is okay for you, I think I can find one and just give it to you, no need returning that to me later on.

Just want to make sure we are talking about the same thing.
Solaris 8, (aka Solaris 2.8) is not a new product, out of beta years ago. Even Solaris 9 was out for quite a while, which is free on Sun's site. Version 8 was free but now they charge a fee for it.

I want Solaris 8 sparc, not intel.. (3 cds?)
