you can use one kind of wax to polish it once per yr. also can help the wood less dry.
I know two guys in town do antique furniture busniess, I may get a pair this kind style chair for u, but not in this kind of wood. honestly.

唯一一个问题在加拿大就是这里天气干， 比较容易结缝处裂， 所以房间需要有一定湿度， 还有就不要放在太阳光照射处。。容易变色。。

Then is it a problem? What kind of humidity is good for them?

注意几点，

1) 不要让太阳直接晒
2) 可以在柜子里放杯水或附近humidity器
3) 在home depot 有卖专门保护硬木的油， 你可以用来擦家具的
